Welcome to Max Trainque on the web.

Hello and thanks for visiting my website. I knew I would have to put one together eventually, so here is my first attempt. As my digital understanding increases with time and patience, so will my website. Bear with me and be sure to check back often, as I will be making updates regularly. This site will inform you about who I am, what I’ve done, what I’m doing now, and some of my plans for the future. If you would like to find out more about my history, a link to my resume is located on the last page. Each of the photos here has a hyperlink to a full size image. I’m also including some educational links that I found to be very helpful. In time I would like to include some writings, personal photos, and sketches. So stay tuned!
Well I should tell you a little about myself. Plenty of good things are happening in my life and I’m glad to be a part of it. I love glass and, well, I love glass. I fuse, slump, cast, lamp-work (borosilicate and soft glass), sculpt, cold work, paint, laminate, etch, blast, and offhand blow soda-lime glass. I love to talk about it, dream about it, and often get inspired from the mere thought of its presence. It is almost like a neurotic compulsion or obsession, but you know I can stop anytime I want (no really, I mean it, for real, I’m serious). Additionally I am blessed to work with other mediums such as clay and stone, and dream of creating multi-media artwork
As an emerging artist, I am envisioning and developing a workspace capable of accommodating the creative spirit as it flows from within. With the help of family and friends, my dreams are only the beginning. To all who have touched my life: Thanks! If we have yet to meet, I anticipate the moment already. Thanks for visiting; I hope you enjoy your stay. ~max
